Day 1: DEPARTURE DAY
• Departure from Canada
Day 2: ARRIVAL IN ISTANBUL
(Istanbul 2 nights)
• Welcome to Istanbul! You will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is yours, free to explore. Tonight, you get acquainted with your travelling companions at your welcome dinner.
• Overnight Istanbul.
Day 3: OLD CITY OF ISTANBUL
• After breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar.
• Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.
Day 4: GALLIPOLI BATTLEFIELDS
(Çanakkale 1 night)
• After breakfast we depart for WWI Battlefields of Gallipoli including Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly and the Gallipoli Museum.
• Overnight in Çanakkale.
Day 5: TROY & PERGAMUM
(Kusadasi 2 nights)
• We depart for Troy, then tour the magnificent acropolis of Pergamum.
• Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 6: EPHESUS
• A full-day guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis
• Visit of Virgin Mary’s House.
• Visiting the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value.
• Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 7: KUSADASI / PAMUKKALE
(Pamukkale 1 night)
• We’ll go to visit Pamukkale where we also have a tour to the ancient city of Hierapolis.
• Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 8: APHRODISIAS / FETHIYE
(Fethiye 2 nights)
• We drive south towards the Mediterranean coast, visiting the ancient site of Aphrodisias along the way.
• Overnight in Fethiye.
Day 9: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF FETHIYE
You have the option to relax on a day cruise around the 12 Islands of Fethiye or experience one of Turkey’s highlights on an optional day tour to Saklikent, Turkey’s longest and deepest canyon.
Overnight in Fethiye.
Day 10: KAYAKOY / ANTALYA
Antalya (2 nights)
• Relaxing morning, before a late afternoon drive to the resort town of Antalya visiting the deserted Greek village of Kayakoy on the way.
• Overnight in Antalya.
Day 11: PERGE & ASPENDOS
• Tour the ancient ruins of Perge with its impressive stadium and Aspendos, known as one of the best preserved theatres of Asia Minor, still in use today.
• Overnight in Antalya.
Day 12: KONYA/CAPPADOCIA
Cappadocia (3 nights)
• Early departure for Cappadocia, stopping en-route to visit Konya and the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi with its museum.
• This afternoon we also stop to visit Sultanhani Caravanserai, the largest in Anatolia.
• Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 13: SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF CAPPADOCIA
• A fully guided tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle and more.
• Tonight, don’t miss the optional traditional Turkish folklore evening.
• Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 14: CAPPADOCIA
• Visit Ihlara Valley and Underground City.
• Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 15: ANKARA / ISTANBUL
(Istanbul 1 night)
• Early morning departure to the nation’s capital, Ankara where we visit Anitkabir, mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, before returning to Istanbul.
• Farewell dinner.
• Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 16: DEPARTURE DAY
Flight to Canada
• After breakfast, our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends and transfer to the airport for the flight home.
